
Travel Sales manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Travel Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in travel sales, team leadership, and client relationship management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify new business opportunities, optimize sales processes, and ensure exceptional service delivery to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage the travel sales team.
- Set performance targets and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Provide coaching and support to improve team performance.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain and grow relationships with key corporate and individual clients.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Handle escalated client issues and resolve them effectively.
- Product Knowledge & Promotion:
- Stay updated on travel destinations, packages, and promotions.
- Work closely with product and marketing teams to create attractive travel offerings.
- Deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Track sales performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, client retention, and revenue growth.
- Partnerships & Networking:
- Build and maintain relationships with travel partners (airlines, hotels, DMCs, etc.).
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in travel sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of travel industry systems (GDS, CRM, booking platforms).
- Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in B2B and B2C travel sales.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
