We are looking for a Surface Treatment/Incoming quality Engineer to join our team at Usaka Engineers.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in paint, powder coating, electroplating, and other surface treatment processes relevant to sheet metal and tubular fabricated components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor all incoming parts requiring surface treatment (paint, electroplating, etc.)
  • Coordinate with vendors and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain surface treatment SOPs and inspection standards.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure defect-free coating, finish, and corrosion resistance.
  • Support NPD and engineering teams with surface treatment process feasibility.

  • Handle customer audits and documentation related to surface finish requirements.

  • Monitor incoming BOP parts quality.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate should have sound knowledge of surface finishing Processes Like ACED, Powder coating , ZN plating Ni Cr Plating etc. This Include Substate condition , Pretreatment, Finishing Process and Defect phenomenon

Candidate should be able to do root cause analysis & take countermeasure jointly with supplier to achieve desired Quality consistency.
