About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function in our aluminium manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, ensuring that our production processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring readiness for certification and compliance.
- Define quality objectives, KPIs, and processes specific to aluminium manufacturing operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize production efficiency.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and maintenance teams to ensure quality at every stage of the manufacturing process.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Supervise and mentor the quality team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Ensure environmental, health, and safety standards are integrated into daily operations.
- Monitor supplier quality and coordinate improvement plans with vendors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Quality Manager, preferably in aluminium, metal, or automotive manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards and quality methodologies (FMEA, 8D, SPC, PPAP, APQP).
- Solid understanding of metallurgical processes, extrusion, rolling, casting, or finishing operations in aluminium production.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Leadership experience with a track record of driving high-performing teams.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
Preferred:
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen in aluminium/metal production.
- Experience managing supplier quality for critical components.
