Assistant Project Manager

Role Overview

The Assistant Project Manager supports the successful delivery of projects by coordinating planning, execution, and monitoring activities. Working closely with project managers and cross-functional teams, this role ensures that project objectives are met within scope, schedule, and budget. The Assistant Project Manager serves as a key link between internal departments, vendors, and clients—helping to manage timelines, resources, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and organizing project activities, including defining scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.

• Use project management tools (Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, or similar) to track tasks and report project progress.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and administrative teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support the project closeout process, including documentation handover, performance evaluation, and lessons learned sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in project coordination or management roles, preferably within engineering, construction, or operations.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid), and documentation standards.
• Proficiency in project management and productivity tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communication.
• Familiarity with risk assessment and quality control processes.
• Professional certifications such as CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2 are advantageous but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (Teams, Slack, Zoom).
