Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems, control panels, motors, and production machines.
  • Attend machine breakdowns promptly to reduce downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Install and maintain wiring, control systems, sensors, lighting, and power distribution as per standards.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machines such as forging machines, CNC machines, lathes, hydraulic presses, induction heaters, and compressors.
  • Maintain electrical panels, PLC connections, contactors, relays, and motor drives (VFDs).
  • Ensure safety standards are followed during all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain records of maintenance work, electrical inventory, and service history.
  • Coordinate with the production and mechanical maintenance teams for planned shutdowns.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or modifications.
  • Report abnormal conditions, electrical hazards, or machine failures to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems (3-phase, MCC panels, VFD drives).
  • Experience in troubleshooting motors, control circuits, and PLC-based machines.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with safety standards (Lockout/Tagout, grounding, insulation testing).
  • Basic mechanical awareness of machines used in studs & rings manufacturing.
  • Problem-solving and quick response skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years experience as an industrial electrician (preferably in manufacturing units).
  • Experience with CNC machines, induction furnaces, forging presses, and power distribution panels is an advantage.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in shifts (day/night) as required.
  • Work in production and utility areas (noise, heat, and moving machinery).
  • Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
