Job Purpose
We are seeking a result-driven and customer-focused Sales & Business Development professional to drive new business growth, market expansion, and profitability for CP Brand Compressors across the assigned region. The role focuses on territory management, channel development, pricing realization, receivables control, and execution of multi-brand strategy in line with Atlas Copco Group objectives.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Growth
Identify and develop new business opportunities for all CP Brand compressor products across the assigned territory.
Analyze and recover lost business, implement preventive actions, and strengthen customer retention.
Maximize sales volume and market penetration through direct sales and indirect channel partners.
Drive price realization and margin improvement in line with company guidelines.
Effectively manage the assigned territory to ensure optimal customer coverage and sales productivity.
Develop, monitor, and support dealers, distributors, and indirect resources to strengthen market presence.
Ensure disciplined execution of the Multi-Brand Strategy as per CP Brand and Atlas Copco Group policies.
Continuously gather and maintain up-to-date market intelligence on customers, competitors, pricing, and industry trends.
Analyze regional business performance, including customer spend on CP products vs competitor products, to identify growth opportunities.
Provide actionable inputs to management for sales forecasting, planning, and strategic decisions.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships at all organizational levels.
Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and service quality.
Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer applications and recommending suitable compressor solutions.
Manage and control receivables (direct & indirect) to ensure healthy cash flow.
Ensure compliance with pricing policies, ethical standards, and internal processes.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) is mandatory.
MBA (Sales/Marketing) is an added advantage.
5–8 years of total experience, with minimum 3 years in compressor sales (industrial / portable / air compressors).
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong business acumen and result orientation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
High sense of urgency, quality, and customer focus.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel extensively.
