Role Summary:

The Academic Coordinator for Grades 2-8 will oversee curriculum implementation, academic planning, teacher coordination, and student progress to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes aligned with school standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership

  • Coordinate and monitor curriculum delivery for Grades 28
  • Ensure lesson plans align with academic goals and school policies
  • Support teachers in instructional strategies and classroom management

Teacher Coordination & Support

  • Guide, mentor, and supervise teaching staff
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback
  • Facilitate teacher meetings, training sessions, and workshops

Student Progress & Well-being

  • Monitor student academic performance and behavior
  • Support interventions for students needing additional academic help
  • Collaborate with counselors and teachers for holistic student development

Assessment & Reporting

  • Oversee assessments, evaluations, and report preparation
  • Analyze academic data to improve teaching strategies
  • Ensure timely submission of academic records

Parent & Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as a point of contact for parents regarding academic concern.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assist in timetable planning and substitution arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and education board requirements
  • Support school leadership in academic planning and initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education or relevant subject
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience (Grades 2–8 preferred)
  • Prior experience as a coordinator or academic leader is an advantage
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
