Position Title: Windows Engineer L3

Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Windows L3 Support Engineer to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Windows Server Administration, Active Directory (AD), IIS, Plesk, and Microsoft SQL Server. This role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, escalation management, and the ability to ensure high system stability and availability.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Server & Infrastructure

• Manage and maintain Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 environments
• Performance tuning and patch management
• Handle OS-level security and compliance
• Automate tasks using PowerShell scripting
• Windows clustering and SQL DB mirroring/replication/clustering

Active Directory (AD)

• Design and manage Active Directory infrastructure, including FSMO roles, Sites & Services, GPOs, and trusts
• Troubleshoot AD replication, authentication, account lockouts, and DNS integration
• Execute AD migrations, upgrades, and manage OUs and delegation models

IIS (Internet Information Services)

• Deploy and configure IIS 8.5/10 for web applications
• Manage SSL certificates, bindings, redirects, and virtual directories
• Analyze logs and troubleshoot performance issues

Plesk Hosting Platform

• Manage shared and dedicated hosting environments on Plesk
• Handle upgrades, backups, licenses, and domain setups
• Troubleshoot web, mail, FTP, and DNS services

Microsoft SQL Server

• Administer SQL Server 2016/2019
• Schedule backups, manage security, and assist with basic T-SQL
• Troubleshoot application performance with developers

General L3 Responsibilities

• Serve as the final escalation point for L1 and L2 teams
• Perform root cause analysis and provide permanent fixes
• Document SOPs and maintain operational runbooks
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical support
• Ensure compliance with IT security and audit requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Windows Server administration (2012–2022)
• Expertise in Active Directory and Group Policy
• Proficient with IIS 8.5/10
• Experience with Plesk on Windows (Obsidian, Onyx)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (up to 2019)
• PowerShell scripting and automation

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage high-pressure incidents
• Good documentation and reporting skills

Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory)

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect
• MCSA / MCSE (Windows Server, SQL Server)
• ITIL Foundation

Additional Technical Experience Based on Focus Areas

Windows + Web Hosting

• 2–3 years of experience in IIS, Apache, NGINX, Plesk, and cPanel
• Security hardening, patching, and VAPT remediation
• Migration and disaster recovery planning
• Web server optimization, SSL configuration, and backups

Windows + Mailing

• 2–3 years of experience in Microsoft Exchange, MailEnable, SmarterMail
• Installation, configuration, and security remediation of mail servers
• Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery of mailing systems
• 24x7 operational support and performance tuning

Windows + DBA

• 2–3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Installation, configuration, and performance tuning of DB servers
• Backup strategies, replication, security, and disaster recovery
• SQL query optimization and DB monitoring
