Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Planning Specialist to support a major energy infrastructure venture. The role focuses on managing and integrating project schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain construction and commissioning schedules aligned with approved project scope.
  • Review and validate contractor project control procedures and progress reports.
  • Monitor EPC contractor schedules for logic, detail, and interface accuracy.
  • Integrate subcontractor, vendor, and supplier schedules into the overall EPC timeline.
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis using Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis software.
  • Evaluate project changes for schedule impact and incorporate approved changes.
  • Advise on potential schedule issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead periodic progress review meetings with contractors and report status to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Law, Accounting, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project scheduling and controls for EPC oil & gas capital projects.
  • At least 5 years of site/field scheduling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls principles and scheduling methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (version 18 or above) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with schedule integration across multiple contractors and vendors.
