Position Overview

The Legal Executive will support the Contracts Department in managing the company's legal affairs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, drafting and reviewing contracts, and assisting in dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Draft, review, and vet various contracts, agreements, and legal documents, including EPC contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and MoUs.
  2. Assist in contract administration, interpretation, and compliance monitoring during project execution.
  3. Coordinate with project teams for legal inputs on claims, variations, and contractual correspondence.
  4. Support the management in handling litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution proceedings, including liaising with external counsel.
  5. Conduct legal research on statutes, case laws, and regulatory updates relevant to the construction and infrastructure industry.
  6. Maintain proper documentation and legal records in the company's filing systems.
  7. Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and contractual obligations.
  8. Prepare legal notices, responses, and briefs under the guidance of senior legal staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. (5-year integrated law course) from a recognized university; candidates with a master's degree (LL.M.) in corporate/commercial law will be preferred. Freshers to 1 year of experience in legal roles, preferably in the infrastructure, engineering, or construction sector.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal interpretation skills.
  • Good understanding of contract law, arbitration, and dispute resolution mechanisms
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
