Job Summary:

The Real Estate Contract Engineer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts related to real estate development and construction projects. This role ensures that all contractual obligations are met, legal and regulatory requirements are followed, and that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including construction agreements, consultant contracts, vendor agreements

Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify contractual obligations and risks.

Ensure contracts comply with local laws, regulations, and company policies.

Coordinate with legal, procurement, finance, and project management teams for smooth contract execution.

Maintain an updated record of all contract documents, including amendments and change orders.

Monitor contract performance and track deliverables, deadlines, and milestones.

Assist in resolving disputes, claims, and variations by evaluating contractual terms.

Prepare contract summaries, risk assessments, and reports for internal stakeholders.

Support bid preparation and tender evaluation by analyzing cost estimates and contractual conditions.

Ensure timely submission of contractual notices and correspondence.

Stay updated on changes in construction law, procurement regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Proven experience (3–7 years) in contracts management within the real estate or construction industry.

Familiarity with FIDIC, JCT, or other standard contract forms.

Knowledge of local construction laws and regulations.

Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with project management software is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate certification in contract management, construction law, or quantity surveying.

Experience working with large-scale residential or commercial real estate projects.

Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Soft Skills:

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
