Out restaurant accounting job, involves managing a restaurant's financial records, including tracking sales, expenses, payroll, and inventory, to ensure accuracy, profitability, and compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing bank and inventory reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping:Record, code, and categorize all financial transactions, including sales, vendor payments, and employee expenses.
  • Inventory Management:Track inventory levels, monitor food and beverage costs, and conduct regular inventory audits to control costs and minimize waste.
  • Sales & Revenue Tracking:Reconcile daily sales, manage accounts receivable, and ensure accurate revenue reporting.
  • Accounts Payable:Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments for goods and services.
  • Payroll:Calculate employee wages, manage payroll processing, and ensure accurate tax withholdings.
  • Bank Reconciliation:Compare bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts to achieve financial goals.
  • Cost Control:Implement cost control measures and provide insights into cost-saving opportunities.
  • Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and relevant tax and regulatory requirements.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and industry-specific financial practices for the food service industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and databases.
  • Strong analytical skills to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Attention to detail for accurate financial record-keeping.
  • Understanding of inventory control, cost of goods sold (COGS), and other restaurant-specific metrics.
