Role Overview:

The Retrofit Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising retrofit projects for HVAC/MEP systems. The role requires technical expertise in analyzing existing installations, designing retrofit solutions, coordinating with clients, vendors, and contractors, and ensuring timely delivery within cost and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and technical assessments of existing HVAC/MEP systems.
  • Develop retrofit proposals, technical drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors to finalize solutions.
  • Supervise site execution, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and statutory compliance standards.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, reporting deviations proactively.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend innovative retrofit solutions.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Support the sales and estimation team with technical inputs during bidding.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering (depending on retrofit domain).
  • 3–6 years of experience in HVAC/MEP retrofit projects.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting, piping, electrical systems, and controls.
  • Strong project planning, coordination, and execution skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera (preferred), and MS Office.
  • Good communication, client-handling, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
