Key Responsibilities:

Jewelry Design & Development

  • Create original, trend-forward jewelry designs that align with our brand esthetic.
  • Develop technical specifications and detailed sketches for each design.
  • Work on new collections, from concept through to final production-ready designs, ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability.

Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Identify and engage reliable manufacturers, wholesalers, and suppliers in India and China.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and lead times with suppliers to meet budget and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring timely and consistent supply.

Quality Assurance

  • Develop and implement quality control standards for design samples and final products.
  • Oversee product samples, ensuring they meet design and quality expectations before full production.
  • Address and resolve any quality-related issues in partnership with vendors.

Trend Analysis & Market Research

  • Keep up-to-date on global jewellery trends, materials, and competitor offerings.
  • Integrate relevant trends and insights into product design to ensure market relevance.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback for continuous improvement in design.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    Minimum 3 years of experience in fashion jewelry design and sourcing.
  • Education:
    Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Jewelry Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Portfolio:
    A strong portfolio showcasing original jewelry designs, with a focus on commercial and trend-led pieces.
  • Sourcing Knowledge:
    Hands-on experience in sourcing from India and China, with established vendor relationships preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD, 3D modeling software) is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    Solid understanding of jewelry production processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Project Management:
    Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
  • Communication Skills:
    Strong negotiation, collaboration, and vendor management skills.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Ability to identify and resolve quality and supply chain issues efficiently.
