Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Databricks, and a strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and pipeline development in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
  • Build and optimize data lakes and data models in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
  • Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Databricks (PySpark/Scala).
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows.
  • Implement best practices for data governance and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.

  • Strong expertise in:

  • Azure Data Factory

  • Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2)

  • Azure Databricks (including Spark)

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala.

  • Experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Synapse, Snowflake is a plus).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
