Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Engineer to oversee manufacturing operations at our downstream solutions facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production planning, maintaining quality standards, and achieving output targets in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations for cut & bend rebar, couplers, and prefabrication lines.
- Implement lean manufacturing and 5S practices to improve productivity.
- Monitor equipment performance, downtime, and process optimization.
- Ensure that all production meets Tata Steel's quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with design and planning teams on Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) coordination.
- Manage inventory levels, raw material flow, and dispatch schedules.
- Lead and train a team of operators and technicians.
- Prepare production reports, KPI analysis, and cost-saving proposals.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in steel processing, construction, or manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge of rebar processing, CNC bending machines, welding operations, and fabrication.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and process excellence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹9, ₹59,665.61 per month
