Title Solution Engineer Location Kolkata Exp 10 years Job Functions Research design implement test troubleshoot automate and document architectures for virtualized solutions on Hitachi Unified Converged Platform Develop and deliver test plans lab reports best practices technical presentations analyst briefings and white papers to address various areas of Hitachi Vantara Solutions Architecture and Engineering Be the technical focal point for solution segment s that you are assigned Work with stakeholders and partners if appropriate to properly set test and performance goals After the agreement develop review and execute test plan Debug issues as they come up Testing can be done with the Hitachi Vantara lab environment or an outside lab if appropriate Responsible for ongoing recommendations and best practices for Hitachi Integrated Platform Converged and Hyper-Converged solutions around business continuity high availability security backup recovery and archiving Responsible for working directly with solutions engineering teams that develop Integrated Platform for virtualization products from inception to product GA Responsible for ongoing management of configuration and layout of Integrated Platform infrastructure Primary Qualifications Technical Skills Excellent knowledge in enterprise virtualization solutions using Broadcom VMware RedHat Microsoft Hyper-V as well as Containers and container orchestration Dockers Kubernetes Mesos Excellent knowledge in Broadcom VMware vSAN and VCF Solid understanding of the hardware and software components of servers and networks and know how to select install upgrade and replace server hardware such as processors memory disks and controllers Hands on experience working with Python UNIX shell scripting and IT automation orchestration technologies such as Ansible Puppet Chef Jenkins Terraform etc Hands on experience working with hardware Servers LAN SAN switches storage etc in the data center lab Excellent knowledge in networking and storage protocols Fibre Channel Nemeroff TCP IP CIFS NFS Storage Area Network Good understanding of Performance tuning and benchmarking Experience working with public cloud providers like Microsoft Azure or Google cloud or AWS Good storage knowledge in RAID disk-subsystem file system snapshot replication and deduplication Experience working with different server vendors like HPE Supermicro servers and Nvidia GPUs Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
