Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative with a strong background in injection molding or precision component manufacturing to expand our customer base and strengthen existing client relationships.

The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with business acumen, capable of translating engineering capabilities into manufacturing solutions that meet customer needs. This role requires close collaboration with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth coordination from inquiry to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new OEM and industrial customers requiring injection molding or contract manufacturing services.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle - from lead generation and quotation to proposal development, order closure, and ongoing account management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to develop cost-effective, technically sound manufacturing solutions.
  • Interpret customer technical drawings, material specifications, and quality requirements to prepare accurate quotations and feasibility assessments.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and project alignment.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on key sectors such as industrial, automotive, biotech, and precision manufacturing.
  • Represent the company in trade shows, client meetings, and technical presentations as required.
  • Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, and market insights for management.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal production capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or business development within injection molding, contract manufacturing, or precision manufacturing industries.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including silicone molding, plastics, or precision machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, tolerances, and material specifications.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with engineering, procurement, and leadership teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, quoting systems, and Microsoft Office/Excel.
  • Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings and exhibitions.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working with ISO 13485 or ISO 9001-compliant manufacturing systems.
  • Familiarity with Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) materials and molding processes.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of managing independent sales operations.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, reporting, and follow-up abilities.
