Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies for the university (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Create and manage monthly content calendars in line with brand tone and key campaigns
  • Collaborate with design, content, and video teams to create engaging posts, stories, and reels
  • Monitor trends, hashtags, and platform updates to keep content fresh and relevant. Plan and manage paid social media campaigns and boost strategies
  • Respond to queries, messages, and comments in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
  • Coordinate influencer collaborations and partnerships when needed
  • Support live coverage of key events, campaigns, and announcements

Skills

  • Strong understanding of platform algorithms and audience behavior
  • Excellent writing and visual storytelling skills
  • Proficiency in social media tools like Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Canva, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of video editing and graphic design is a plus
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize content

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing social media for a brand or agency
  • A strong portfolio or links to managed accounts is a plus
