Senior Accountant

Job Role Clarity: Accountant (Full-Time)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting:

2. Maintain and update general ledger accounts.

3. Prepare and record day-to-day financial transactions, including journal entries.

4. Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial records.

5. Taxation & Compliance:

6. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).

7. Prepare and file tax returns within deadlines.

8. Assist in audits and respond to queries from auditors or regulatory authorities.

9. Payroll Management:

10. Process monthly payroll, including calculating deductions, bonuses, and incentives.

11. Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI, etc.) in payroll processing.

12. Financial Reporting:

13. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

14. Generate and analyze profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

15. Provide financial insights and reports to support management decisions.

16. Budgeting & Forecasting:

17. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

18. Monitor budget variances and provide actionable insights.

19. Inventory & Fixed Asset Management:

20. Maintain records of inventory and fixed assets.

21. Perform periodic reconciliation of stock and fixed assets.

22. Process Improvement:

23. Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency.

24. Stay updated on best practices and accounting standards.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CMA qualification preferred).

• Proven work experience as an accountant or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and laws.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).

• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
