Role & responsibilities

  • Expedite production of NPD products
  • Ensure availability of child parts and approvals in time for NPD
  • Inventory management and demand balancing
  • Vendor development for new products/processes in related field
  • Align CFT members through meeting & various forums for NPD & regular production
  • Bottom-up costing related to modular switch products
  • Creating database of suppliers in relevant fields
  • Creating and managing supplier related documentation like NDA, contracts, PO's etc..
  • Capacity planning for number of moulds/tools/fixtures/assembly lines requirement basis forecast
  • Value engineering for existing product improvements
  • Data management in Windchill or PLM for Engineering activities

Must have skills

  • Complete knowledge of modular switch product range/s
  • Complete knowledge of bottom-up costing related to modular switch products
  • Handling of multiple vendors (inclusive of tier1's and tier2's )
  • Creating database of suppliers in relevant fields
  • Vendor development for new products/processes in related field
  • knowledge of commodities like steel, brass, plastics, packaging, hardwares, contact rivets, electronics and the like
  • Knowledge of processes like, moulding, stamping, labeling, printing, packaging, assembly, testing, painting, cubic printing, electronics assembly
  • Creating and managing supplier related documentation like NDA, contracts, PO's etc..
  • Capacity planning for number of products to be delivered
  • Working with sales/ supply chain and demand planners for developing operations plan and delivering on same
  • Value engineering principles for cost outs and cost negotiations and product improvements
  • Inventory management and demand balancing

  • Presentation skills for the purpose of generating management information
  • Superior negotiation skills
  • Interpersonnel skills to work with teams within and outside
