Role Summary

The Assistant Production Manager will support the overall production operations, ensure timely execution of production plans, coordinate with internal teams, manage dispatch activities, and maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities.

Production Operations

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing daily production activities.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to timelines.
  • Supervise production staff and ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Maintain and update production reports, daily output records, and material usage.

Dispatch & Logistics

  • Oversee daily dispatch operations and ensure accurate & timely delivery of finished goods.
  • Coordinate with the logistics/transport team to arrange vehicles and shipments.
  • Ensure proper packaging, documentation, and labeling of dispatch materials.
  • Track dispatch schedules and resolve any delays or issues promptly.
  • Maintain dispatch records, stock movement reports, and delivery documentation.

Vendor Coordination

  • Communicate with vendors for raw materials, packaging items, and production-related supplies.
  • Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials as per production requirements.
  • Assist in vendor evaluation, negotiation, and resolving supply-related issues.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team for maintaining adequate inventory levels.

Inventory & Material Management

  • Monitor raw material and finished goods stock levels.
  • Coordinate with the stores department for timely material availability.
  • Support in maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting periodic stock audits.

Team Management & Reporting

  • Supervise production workforce and assign tasks based on priorities.
  • Provide daily production and dispatch reports to the GM-Operations.
  • Assist in process improvements and operational efficiency.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma
  • 3–5years of experience in production operations; experience in dispatch/logistics preferred.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure, manage timelines, and multitask effectively.
  • Knowledge of production planning and inventory management.
  • Team leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35, ₹40,000.00 per month
