Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marketo Technical Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Marketo instances to support our marketing automation initiatives. The Marketo Technical Consultant will work closely with our marketing team to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and provide ongoing support to ensure the effective utilization of the Marketo platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Configure and customize Marketo instances to align with business requirements, including lead scoring, lead nurturing, email marketing, and campaign management.
• Design and implement Marketo programs, workflows, and smart campaigns to automate marketing processes and optimize lead generation and conversion.
• Develop custom Marketo email and landing page templates using HTML, CSS, and Velocity scripting language.
• Utilize Velocity scripting to create dynamic email content, personalize messaging, and tailor content based on recipient attributes and behaviours.
• Integrate Marketo with other marketing technologies and platforms, such as CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), analytics tools, and third-party applications.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to marketing team members on best practices for using the Marketo platform.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate marketing team members on Marketo functionality and capabilities.
• Utilize Marketo API to develop custom integrations, automate processes, and extend platform functionality.
• Stay updated on the latest Marketo releases, features, and best practices, and proactively recommend opportunities for leveraging new functionalities to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience working with Marketo as a technical consultant or administrator.
• Strong understanding of marketing automation concepts, strategies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Marketo platform configuration, customization, and administration.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for developing custom email and landing page templates.
• Extensive knowledge of Velocity scripting language and demonstrated experience in creating dynamic email content using Velocity scripting.
• Experience with integrating Marketo with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other marketing technologies.
• Must have extensive knowledge of Marketo API and demonstrated experience in developing custom integrations and automation using Marketo API.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Marketo certification(s) preferred.
