Job Title: Solar Project Manager
Department: Projects / Operations
Reports To: Head – Projects / Director

Job Summary:

The Solar Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of solar power projects (Rooftop / Ground-mounted / Utility-scale). The role involves planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising installation, commissioning, and maintenance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage solar projects from concept to commissioning.

  • Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

  • Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and load analysis.

  • Coordinate with design, procurement, vendors, and contractors.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance, approvals, and documentation (CEA, DISCOM, MNRE, etc.).

  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems.

  • Monitor project progress, quality control, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.

  • Resolve technical and operational issues at project sites.

  • Maintain strong client communication and relationship management.

  • Provide MIS reports on project status, timelines, and cost tracking.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering.

  • 5–10 years of experience in solar project management (rooftop/utility).

  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical equipment.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera, and MS Office.

  • Understanding of DISCOM policies, MNRE guidelines, and government approvals.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
