What's the role
As the Regional Logistics Operations Lead – North & East, you will be responsible for managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers for the storage and transportation of packed and bulk lubricants. You'll lead day-to-day logistics operations across the North & East region, ensuring service excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance with HSSE standards. This role plays a critical part in driving performance improvements, optimizing distribution strategies, and supporting broader logistics initiatives.
What you'll be doing
Lead and manage daily operations of 3PL providers for warehousing and transportation.
Supervise scheduling and dispatching of inbound and outbound deliveries to meet monthly demand and service levels.
Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance and manage proof of delivery (POD) processes.
Optimize warehouse space, transport resources, and fleet utilization to meet budgeted costs.
Drive compliance with HSSE standards in road transport and lead safety initiatives.
Support the Logistics Manager India in implementing strategic logistics and cost-saving initiatives (e.g., SPANCO, TnR planning).
Manage transport contracts, hauliers, and driver performance, including monthly KPI reviews.
Collaborate with customer operations and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
Utilize logistics systems (e.g., GSAP, Streamline) and tools for planning, tracking, and reporting.
Lead continuous improvement efforts in scheduling, load optimization, and truck detention reduction.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field with minimum 4–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM/CSCP, NEBOSH (or equivalent HSSE certification).
Strong background in managing 3PL providers, transport contracts, and warehouse operations.
Solid understanding of HSSE standards, especially in road transport safety.
Proficiency in logistics systems such as GSAP, Streamline, TMS, or WMS.
Analytical mindset with experience in cost modeling and performance tracking.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
