About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Tableau Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Tableau environment. Youll be the go-to person for ensuring seamless user access, performance tuning, security, and the governance of all Tableau-related activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Tableau Server & Tableau Cloud environments.
  • Handle user access provisioning, security groups, site roles, and permissions.
  • Monitor server health, performance, schedules, and extract refreshes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboards, extracts, or user access.
  • Collaborate with BI developers and data engineers to ensure best practices in dashboard deployment and data source management.
  • Automate administrative tasks using Tableau Server REST API and command-line tools (Tabcmd, Tabadmin, TSM).
  • Maintain Tableau version upgrades, patches, and capacity planning.
  • Develop documentation, governance policies, and knowledge-sharing materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Tableau Administrator.
  • Strong expertise with Tableau Server / Tableau Online administration and architecture.
  • Experience with Active Directory, SAML, or other authentication methods.
  • Proficiency with Tableau APIs, scripting (Python, PowerShell), and automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security policies, and role-based access control.
  • Experience in AWS, Azure, or cloud-native Tableau deployments is a plus.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tableau Certified Associate/Professional Administrator is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD for Tableau deployments.
  • Knowledge of other BI tools (Power BI, Looker) is an advantage.
  • Exposure to data warehousing and ETL concepts.
