Description

You'll lead world-class engineering teams, both employees and partners, often distributed globally, to deliver innovative and robust solutions.

While leadership presence in our Chennai / Bangalore offices in India is key for team management and vendor engagement, this role involves significant collaboration with Product Teams and stakeholders across different regions, including the US and Europe. The strategic impact and collaboration span globally.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Think of your responsibilities falling into a few core buckets: Leadership & Team Building, Technical Strategy & Execution for our digital suite of applications and Bank

Engineering Leadership & Team Management: You will lead, mentor, and grow multiple engineering teams, including potentially managing other managers, working on various components of our Digital, core banking features. This includes leading and managing a large engineering organization, comprising a significant team size (currently close to 75+ employees across the Digital Portfolio and  Bank applications along with managing global purchased services partners across different locations. You should have proven experience managing teams of this scale or larger. Foster a strong team culture centred around technical excellence, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. Define effective team structures, roles, and responsibilities to maximize productivity and scalability. Oversee hiring, performance management, and career development for engineers within your domain. Champion best practices in software development, testing, deployment, and operations, using agile methodologies. Effectively manage team priorities, backlogs, and help remove roadblocks to drive key business results. Lead the management of global supplier partners, focusing on cost-effectiveness and ​​​​​​To grow into this position, you will need to be skilled at:

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 50+ experienced technical professionals (90% Engineering, 10% Product Managers) to build, grow and maintain all of Ford Credit's digital assets and touchpoints across Ford Credit Operations.
  • Be accountable for high-quality and efficient delivery of Ford Credit technology roadmap and innovation across all digital (and mobile) applications, omni-channel capabilities, and touchpoints.
  • Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Artificial Intelligence and DevOps to ensure efficient and effective development across the back end and front end systems
  • Assess, evangelize, and introduce modern technologies and capabilities across the organization to improve Ford Credit's effectiveness
  • Be the catalyst for technology transformation across the digital organization to ensure that Ford Credit TSP has the appropriate software development process, organization capabilities and automated solutions to enable Ford Credit strategies.
  • Take an active role as a technology business partner, involved in the advancement of modern technology applications and strategies for customer-facing solutions that drive loyalty and grow customer lifetime value.
  • Monitor and introduce trends, new and emerging technologies, processes, and best practices on global digital area.
  • Drive the culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Understands business and customer priorities, with a lens for technical feasibility to influence product group backlogs in partnership with the Mission leads/Product Owners
  • Work with lead Product Owner matched pair to coordinate quarterly prioritization process while delivering the quarterly OKRs (Objectives & Key Results)
  • Measure the effectiveness of digital experiences and adjust the delivery plan based on learning, user, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Verifies that the delivered software group products meet desired encryption, security, and business outcomes.
  • Provide constructive peer review feedback for product ideas submitted from other areas of the organization
  • Innovate and operate with an Agile, API, and Cloud-Native perspective
  • Provide industry thought leadership for Policies, Processes, People and Tools, while driving a software development lifecycle.
  • Continue to evolve the organization in support of the PDO model and use of Agile methods
