The Team:
The EDO (Enterprise Data Organisation) Data and Distribution Platforms organization is dedicated to developing platforms that facilitate data acquisition and onboarding while supporting cross-divisional product creation. They provide a variety of distribution channels, including warehouse-based solutions, files, and APIs tailored to different customer use cases. Furthermore, these platforms are designed to enable AI-driven distribution.

This position is responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, timely execution and roadmap for our products, ensuring that our offerings remain competitive and aligned with market demands.
The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of user needs and business objectives. As a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, the Product Owner will prioritize features, manage the product backlog, and drive the agile development process to deliver the results on time.
Key responsibilities include engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements, translating those into actionable user stories, and ensuring that the product development aligns with the overall strategic goals of S&P Global's EDO organization.
This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and great communication skills, making it essential for driving the success of S&P Global's Distribution and Data Platforms in a rapidly changing data landscape.
The Impact: As a member of the Product team, you will play an essential role in steering the Agile development process, overseeing complex projects from inception to completion, and maintaining modules to ensure smooth functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Product Requirements and roadmap – Understand, Analyze, Document and Sign-off Business, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements
• Communicate a clear product strategy, roadmap and set of features that convey the product vision.
• Participate / lead in project sizing, planning and tracking activities
• Contribute and articulate the vision and strategy to obtain approval from key stake holders including senior management, product management development, and operations.
• Business and Tech Liaison – Understand business problem / need and communicate to Technology; Understand technology solution against business need and present back to Business
• Produce detailed business and functional feature definitions from existing systems, previous drafts, and SME interviews
• Partner with stakeholders, understanding their business objectives and priority requirements; facilitate sign-off across stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrate the ability to use a broad range of business analysis skills, methodologies and techniques including Gap Analysis, Feasibility studies, Use case modelling
• Assess the impact of change in requirements to the technology systems / infrastructure and ensure changes are documented and communicated in an effective way
• Work with Development and Testing teams during testing cycles to ensure implementation meets requirements.
• Utilize analytical tools to develop workflows, cross functional and process flow diagrams

• Expertise in agile methodologies.
• Experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a data-centric environment, preferably within financial services or technology sectors.
• Proven ability to lead and manage project teams across diverse geographies, juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and delivering results without formal authority.
• A collaborative mindset, thriving in cross-functional teams that value innovation, productivity, and quality.
