Product Owner (Agile/SAFe)

Role Overview

Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI and automation products that

improve margins, speed, and customer/associate experiences across a Food

Services enterprise (e.g., supply chain, merchandising, culinary/menu ops, sales,

customer care, finance). You'll lead discovery, define value, prioritize work, and

partner with engineering, data/ML, and operations to ship secure, compliant,

measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Vision & Roadmap: Define product vision aligned to business OKRs (cost-to- serve, fill rate, labor productivity, conversion, CSAT). Maintain a 3–4 quarter roadmap with quantified value hypotheses and T-shirt sizing.
  • Backlog & Delivery: Write epics/user stories with clear acceptance criteria and DoD; prioritize by value/risk; run backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews.
  • Discovery & Experiments: Lead user research, process mapping, and rapid POCs; structure A/B tests and success metrics for GenAI/RPA features.
  • Data/AI Readiness: Coordinate data contracts and quality SLAs; ensure features are feasible with available data, models, and guardrails (prompt policies, retrieval scopes, evals).
  • Governance & Risk: Embed privacy/security (PCI-DSS, PII), Responsible AI, and change management; manage access controls, audit needs, and model/automation kill-switches.
  • Stakeholder Management: Align Ops, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Sales, Finance, IT/Sec, and Compliance; provide exec-ready status, risk/issue logs, and value tracking.
  • Vendor/Platform Alignment: Orchestrate partners/platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI/Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform/Automation Anywhere/UiPath, Snowflake/Databricks, MLOps).
  • Value Realization: Build benefits cases and post-implementation reviews; track adoption, savings, cycle-time, and accuracy
Required Qualifications
  • 6–10+ years product management/ownership with 3+ years delivering AI/automation solutions at scale.
  • Food Services / Food & Bev / CPG distribution exposure (DC→store→customer processes, POS/ordering, catalog & pricing, rebates, food safety).
  • Strong Agile/SAFe execution: backlog ownership, story writing, release planning, and incremental delivery.
  • Hands-on with at least two: Microsoft Copilot/M365, Power Platform (Apps/Automate/Power BI), Automation Anywhere/UiPath, Azure OpenAI/AWS Bedrock, Snowflake/Databricks, MLflow/MLOps.
  • Comfort with analytics and experimentation (KPIs, A/B testing, telemetry dashboards).
  • Excellent communication; able to translate between operators, data scientists, and executives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CSPO/PSPO or SAFe POPM; AI/automation certs (PL-200/400/600, AA, UiPath).
  • Experience with Prompt/Response design, RAG/retrieval governance, model evaluation, and fallback patterns.
