The Opportunity:

As our Lead for AI & Digital Health Innovation, you will be the technical and strategic mind behind the "intelligence layer" of our model. This is not a theoretical research role; it is a hands-on opportunity to translate cutting-edge, validated AI into life-saving tools for last-mile healthcare delivery.

You will be responsible for selecting, integrating, and deploying a suite of pragmatic, field-ready AI solutions that will empower our community health workers, improve diagnostic accuracy, and create a new standard for rural healthcare in India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of our "Phase 1 AI Starter Kit," including tools for TB and Diabetic Retinopathy screening.
• Evaluate, select, and manage technical relationships with our AI technology partners.
• Collaborate closely with our clinical and program teams to ensure all AI solutions are seamlessly integrated into the HSNFT mobile application and field workflows.
• Develop and oversee the long-term roadmap for AI at HSNFT, including the future integration of solutions for cancer screening, chronic disease management, and predictive health analytics.
• Champion an "offline-first" design philosophy, ensuring all solutions are robust, reliable, and effective in low-connectivity environments.
• Create training materials and provide technical guidance to our field team ("Digital Sathis") on the effective use of these new AI-powered tools.

Who You Are (Skills & Qualifications):

We are looking for a candidate with a rare blend of technical expertise, clinical understanding, and a passion for real-world impact.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
  Master's degree or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• Professional Experience:
  3-5+ years of hands-on experience in developing or deploying digital health or clinical AI solutions. Experience working in public health or low-resource settings is a major plus.

Key Skills & Attributes:

• Hard Skills:
  Strong understanding of clinical AI/ML models (especially in medical imaging and decision support). Familiarity with digital health platforms (EHRs, telemedicine). Experience with vendor management and API integration. Technical project management skills.
• Soft Skills:
  A pragmatic and creative problem-solver. The ability to act as a bridge between technical and clinical teams. Excellent communication skills. A deep, personal commitment to using technology for social good.
