We are now seeking a
Category Manager – Property Services
who can
build and scale our vendor ecosystem from scratch
, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all cities.

Role Overview

The Category Manager will take complete ownership of vendor strategy, partnerships, and operations
for property services. This includes building
in-house teams and vendor networks
, establishing strategic tie-ups with companies, and creating a scalable operating model that improves service quality, reduces costs, and drives customer satisfaction.

This is both a
strategic and execution-driven role
, ideal for someone who has built categories or vendor supply chains in fast-scaling businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Strategy & Partnerships

  • Identify, onboard, and manage vendors/technicians across property service categories.
  • Build partnerships with aggregators like
    Urban Company, NoBrokerHood, etc.
  • Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and commercials.

Team Building & Management

  • Build and lead a central vendor management team.
  • Oversee
    city-level execution teams
    in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Thane, and Gurgaon.

Operations & Execution

  • Ensure
    timely, reliable, and quality service delivery
    for property maintenance work.
  • Build city-specific vendor pools to manage high-volume requirements.
  • Reduce dependency on external vendors by creating hybrid/in-house models.

SOPs & Quality Assurance

  • Design and implement
    standard processes for vendor onboarding, training, and service delivery
    .
  • Monitor performance via KPIs such as
    turnaround time, quality scores, and cost efficiency
    .

Technology & Systems

  • Work with product/tech teams to set up a
    Vendor Management System (VMS)
    .
  • Enable
    job allocation, tracking, and performance dashboards
    .

Financials & ROI

  • Manage P&L for the category, driving cost efficiency and higher margins.
  • Analyze ROI of in-house vs vendor-led execution.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in
    category management, vendor management, or supply chain operations
    .
  • Proven track record of
    building vendor networks/teams from scratch
    .
  • Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with
    service categories
    (home services, property management, or facility management) is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and execution skills with multi-city exposure.
  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort in working with KPIs and dashboards.
