Sales Executive

Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, identify and engage potential customers (small & medium businesses: retail, F&B, services) who can benefit from Cococarts platform.
- Conduct product demos (in-person or via digital means) of our platform, addressing merchant pain-points and positioning the value proposition.
- Close new merchant acquisition deals, meet monthly/quarterly revenue and vendor-onboarding targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing merchants (upsell/cross-sell additional modules such as POS, QR code menu, bookings, marketing tools).
- Collaborate with operations, product and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and activation of merchants.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, pipelines, merchant interactions in CRM; provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
- Monitor market/competition, identify trends, provide feedback to product & marketing teams.
- Travel locally/regionally as required for face-to-face meetings, business development, events.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1-3 years of sales / business development experience (B2B preferred) in SaaS, marketplace, commerce, retail tech, or related field.
- Proven track-record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication skills (English + Hindi; regional language an advantage).
- Comfortable with field work and meeting clients in person with a persuasive, consultative selling style.
- Ability to explain technical/complex products simply for non-technical business owners.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced startup-environment and adapt to change.
- Bachelors degree in Business/Commerce/Marketing or equivalent.
KPIs / Success Metrics
- Number of new merchants onboarded per month / quarter.
- Revenue or subscription value from new deals.
- Merchant activation rate (i.e., merchants go live and transact within a certain timeframe).
- Upsell/cross-sell rate to existing merchants.
- Pipeline conversion ratio, and maintaining robust sales funnel.
- Merchant satisfaction and retention (collaborating with success team).
