Job Description
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the procurement process to support our production operations. You will play a key role in ensuring timely delivery of materials, maintaining cost control, and meeting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw materials (e.g., iron ore, scrap metal, alloys) and other necessary items for production
- Evaluate supplier performance and develop strong vendor relationships
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production and logistics teams to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Maintain accurate procurement records and reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum [3-5] years of procurement experience, preferably in a steel or heavy manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software
- Knowledge of raw material markets and import/export regulations is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
