This role will be co-ordinating and planning software engineering deliveries for the observability stack which monitors alarms, logs and metrics across BTs converged Network Cloud.

Key responsibilities include running the pull together of the yearly backlog, yearly backlog planning, quarterly wave planning, daily tracking of workstreams to ensure they are on track, problem solving and risk management, ensuring committed deliverables are on track, pulling together monthly governance reports and presenting these to senior stakeholders at director level and below.

The Network Cloud platform is a private cloud that is being deployed into our exchanges specifically to host NFV and network apps. It's critically important and is one of BT's future strategic platforms. BT's goal is to have all the services we offer (where appropriate) running on this platform, including BT's 5G core mobile network and ESN services. It is therefore vital that Network Cloud is built using the best technology and implemented using industry best practices.

The role will be responsible for the full end to end delivery of all observability related Network Cloud deliveries. You will work closely with customers to plan and keep tabs on deliveries, including the Network Cloud Platform, Network Operations Center (NOC) and Interstellar (Telecoms Security Act) to ensure projects are delivered and deployed in conjunction with Network Cloud standards and in line with the release schedule where necessary.

What you'll be doing
  • Owns and runs yearly and quarterly planning cycle activities
  • Implements workstreams in full cycle delivery of commercial outcomes for technology developments and solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities to resolve risks and issues relating to delivery and any impacts on related components or teams.
  • Coordinates with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, update on progress and achieve benefits.
  • Coordinates with multiple complex medium sized technical deliveries or a single large technical delivery.
  • Monitors all actions and activities, from scope to delivery, to ensure adherence to technical roadmap and time and budget constraints.
  • Implements ways to improve team, process and service performance and suggest and implement changes to how the team operates.
  • Implements the resolution of technical delivery problems and ensuring all parties involved are engaged in resolutions.
  • Mentors and coordinates a diverse team to deliver medium-sized, technical projects within a specific domain which enable benefits for customers across a portfolio of projects.
  • Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Technical Delivery.
