About the Role

We're looking for an
Account Assistant
to join our client-facing team at
AltQuad
. This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with a client in the
manufacturing and F&B
sector. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting, from daily transactions and reconciliations to GST/TDS filings, inventory management, and audit support.

You'll work closely with both AltQuad leadership and the client's finance team, ensuring all financial operations are accurate, timely, and compliant.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finance

  • Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and payroll.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closings and financial statement preparation.
  • Support audit preparation and documentation.

Tax & Compliance

  • Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns).
  • Handle TDS filings and payments.
  • Support advance tax and Income Tax Return (ITR) filings.
  • Maintain a clear compliance calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.

Inventory & Operations

  • Track inventory for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Record production, consumption, and wastage.
  • Utilize Excel,
    Tally
    , or
    Zoho Inventory
    for detailed tracking.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure accurate dispatch and order updates.

Client Coordination

  • Serve as the primary accounting liaison for the client.
  • Provide regular financial updates and maintain organized documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    B.Com, M.Com, or an equivalent degree.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 1 year of accounting experience, with 2-4 years preferred. Client-facing experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in
    Tally
    and
    Microsoft Excel
    is essential.
  • Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of
    GST, TDS
    , and inventory accounting.
  • Communication:
    Excellent communication skills are required.
