Junior Accountant – Restaurant Group

Experience Required: 1–2 years in an accounting role, preferably in hospitality or F&B

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Junior Accountant to support the finance and accounting operations of our hospitality projects. The ideal candidate has strong numerical skills, basic accounting knowledge, and experience working with invoices, reconciliations, and daily financial reporting. This role supports the Finance/Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth back-end operations.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Tasks

  • Record daily sales, payments, and expenses in the accounting system.
  • Assist in preparing daily and weekly financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices, bills, and vendor payments.
  • Support the processing of accounts payable and receivable.

Financial Documentation & Reconciliation

  • Assist in bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Verify and match purchase orders, delivery notes, and vendor invoices.
  • Track petty cash usage and prepare reimbursement statements.

Inventory & Cost Tracking

  • Coordinate with the kitchen and operations teams for stock entries and consumption reports.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly inventory audits.
  • Help ensure proper documentation of wastage, returns, and transfers.

Compliance & Support

  • Ensure financial data is maintained in line with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing documents for audits and regulatory filings.
  • Support the Senior Accountant/Finance Manager with data entry, spreadsheets, and administrative finance tasks.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, retail, or F&B operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar).
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or multi-outlet F&B setup.
  • Familiarity with GST entries, payroll basics, and vendor management.
