Role Overview:

The Workshop Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day service operations, managing technicians, and ensuring timely and quality delivery of serviced vehicles. The role requires a hands-on professional with sound knowledge of two-wheeler maintenance, service processes, and customer communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Workshop Operations Management

  • Supervise the day-to-day workshop operations and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Open and manage job cards accurately for each service or repair task.
  • Plan and allocate work to mechanics and technicians based on their skill sets and workload.
  • Ensure all services are performed according to company standards and timelines.
  • Coordinate with the service advisor for smooth customer communication and service status updates.

Service Quality & Delivery

  • Monitor work quality and ensure all repairs meet company and manufacturer standards.
  • Conduct final inspections before vehicle delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely delivery of serviced vehicles with proper documentation and billing.
  • Address and resolve any operational or customer-related issues effectively.

Team Supervision & Coordination

  • Guide and motivate the workshop team to achieve daily productivity targets.
  • Ensure discipline, punctuality, and adherence to safety protocols among workshop staff.
  • Conduct daily briefings to review job assignments, workload, and priorities.

Customer Interaction & Communication

  • Maintain transparent communication with customers regarding job status, additional repairs, and cost estimates.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution.
  • Support service advisors in maintaining long-term customer relationships.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain daily reports on job cards, productivity, and service completion.
  • Track spare parts usage and coordinate with the parts department for inventory management.
  • Generate service performance reports and assist management in process improvements.
