About the role
As Lead Product Manager for Tesco's Treasury Applications, you'll lead a high-impact team of Product Managers to transform how we manage liquidity, funding, risk, and balance sheet operations through technology.
You'll define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Treasury systems, ensuring alignment with Group Treasury objectives and financial governance standards. While you may initially work hands-on with user stories and backlogs, your ultimate mission is to empower your team to deliver scalable, innovative solutions.
You will be responsible for
Define and evolve the product vision for Treasury systems supporting cash management, funding, risk management, and compliance.
Align product strategy with Group Treasury Policy pillars: Cash & Investments, Funding, Risk Management, Balance Sheet Management.
Build and maintain a multi-year roadmap for Treasury applications (e.g., Treasury Management System, liquidity forecasting tools, hedging platforms).
Prioritize features based on business value, regulatory compliance, and operational risk mitigation.
Partner with Group Treasury, Finance Directors, and Technology teams to understand requirements for liquidity forecasting, intercompany loans, hedging, and credit risk monitoring.
Ensure products adhere to Tesco's Treasury Policy, Delegation of Authorities, and regulatory frameworks.
Embed controls for operational risk, segregation of duties, and audit compliance within product design.
Build and mentor a team of Product Managers, fostering expertise in financial systems and Treasury domain.
Enable automation of Treasury processes (cash pooling, FX hedging, credit exposure monitoring) through technology.
Ensure system resilience, security, and integration with ERP and banking platforms.
You will need
Strong understanding of Treasury operations: liquidity management, funding strategies, hedging, counterparty risk, and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Findur, Kyriba) and financial instruments (FX, derivatives, MMF).
Proven experience in leading product teams and managing enterprise-scale financial applications.
Skilled in creating product vision, OKRs, and roadmaps; adept at prioritization and stakeholder management.
Understanding of large-scale data platforms, APIs, and integration patterns for financial systems.
Ability to leverage data analytics for forecasting and risk management.
Strong influencing skills across Finance, Technology, and external partners (banks, rating agencies).
Experience in managing budgets and vendor relationships.
Knowledge of Agile product lifecycle and ability to deliver incremental value.
Familiarity with market research, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies (AI/ML).
