Job Roles & Responsibilities – Interior Design Consultant

1. Client Consultation & Requirement Gathering

  • Meet potential clients, understand lifestyle needs, design preferences, budget, and functional requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess measurements, layout, and constraints.
  • Explain Introspace's design process, timelines, and service offerings clearly.

2. Design Conceptualisation & Presentation

  • Create initial design concepts, mood boards, and layout options based on client brief.
  • Collaborate with design and technical teams to prepare 2D layout plans and 3D renderings.
  • Present design proposals, material choices, colour palettes, and themes using Introspace's design tools.

3. Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Convert leads into confirmed projects through effective communication and follow-ups.
  • Provide quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales while maintaining healthy margins.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets set by Introspace.

4. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams—designers, project managers, site supervisors, procurement, and installation teams.
  • Ensure design specifications are followed accurately during execution.
  • Keep clients updated on project progress and resolve on-site issues efficiently.

5. Material & Product Knowledge

  • Recommend materials, finishes, modular furniture, and decor elements based on budget and style.
  • Stay updated on market trends, new materials, and design innovations relevant to Introspace offerings.

6. Customer Experience & Relationship Management

  • Deliver an exceptional customer journey from inquiry to project handover.
  • Manage client expectations regarding timelines, revisions, and outcomes.
  • Maintain long-term relationships for referrals, testimonials, and repeat business.

7. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare design documentation, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and project proposals.
  • Maintain CRM updates for leads, conversations, and pipeline status.
  • Report weekly progress to management.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Good aesthetic sense & design knowledge
  • Ability to understand client psychology
  • Sales negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD / SketchUp / 3D tools (preferred)
  • Time management & multitasking abilities
  • Must have own Laptop and necessary software
