Our innovation arm, EdIntelligence, is pioneering a new category in EdTech. It brings together AI, automation, and engagement tools to enable smarter decisions, stronger connections, and better outcomes in global education.

About the Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Developer who will be the first engineering hire at Gen Next and play a foundational role in shaping how technology is built in-house. This is a ground-floor opportunity to influence our dev culture, architecture, practices, and future hiring as we scale.

You'll lead the development and management of intelligent, scalable platforms that power our work across global student engagement, AI-driven admissions, and smart institutional tools. These include:

• CHARMS – A centralized platform for managing university-agent relationships and recruitment pipelines
• Future Ready Platform – A skills-based engagement tool connecting students, universities, and counselors
• Transcript Genie – An AI-powered tool to process and convert global transcripts into the US GPA system
• College Genie – The world's first AI-powered college and career counselor for students
• genieOS – A customizable AI agent layer enabling branded automation for institutions

These platforms serve a diverse set of stakeholders—students, parents, counselors, agents, universities, international officers, and institutional partners. You'll collaborate closely with our in-house Product and Operations teams to translate research, wireframes, and user journeys into robust, production-ready applications—and occasionally coordinate with freelance teams for select external builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale full-stack applications using , , Supabase, Prisma, and Tailwind CSS
• Architect secure, modular backends with clean APIs and role-based access control
• Convert wireframes and user journeys into efficient product flows in close collaboration with the Product and Ops teams
• Coordinate with external freelance teams for specific products or modules—ensuring alignment, quality, and smooth integration
• Integrate third-party tools such as SendGrid, AWS S3/R2, OpenAI APIs, CRMs, and accounting systems
• Own the end-to-end engineering workflow—including CI/CD, Git version control, deployment, QA, and documentation
• Set up monitoring and performance tracking systems (e.g., Sentry or equivalent) to ensure product reliability
• Leverage no-code/low-code tools where appropriate to accelerate delivery and simplify workflows
• Grow into a Tech Lead role as we expand the in-house engineering team

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience building and managing full-stack web applications
• Strong understanding of secure, scalable architecture and RESTful API design
• Previous experience working on admin dashboards, workflow automation, or document processing
• Familiarity with or interest in AI-powered systems, LLMs, or transcript parsing is a plus
• Comfortable working independently, but collaborative in spirit
• Open to using no-code tools when they accelerate delivery or simplify workflows
• Driven by ownership and impact—not just ticket delivery
• Experience working alongside external vendors or freelance teams is a plus
• Able to review code, manage handovers, and maintain standards across in-house and outsourced workstreams
