Job Title: Assistant Manager Maintenance

Location: Innovation Centre

Qualification: Full-Time B.E. (Mechanical / Electrical) 1st Division

Experience: 8–10 years, preferably in both Mechanical & Electrical maintenance of machines in a Footwear Manufacturing Unit (added advantage)

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Assistant Manager – Maintenance to oversee the upkeep, reliability, and efficiency of machines at our state-of-the-art Innovation Centre.

This role requires expertise in preventive & predictive maintenance, safety management, Kaizens, and installation of new equipment. The ideal candidate should bring in strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Upkeep & Reliability – Ensure 100% availability and smooth running of all machines in the Innovation Centre.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – Implement and monitor PM schedules with at least 90% adherence, verified by Production teams.
  • Kaizen & Continuous Improvement – Drive innovation by implementing Kaizens (target: 0.5 per month per team member with 90% achievement).
  • Safety & 6S Compliance – Maintain safety standards (minimum 85% score) and electrical safety compliance (minimum 80% score).
  • Installation & Commissioning – Lead installation and commissioning of new machines with 100% success rate.
  • Spare Parts Management – Ensure accurate planning, procurement, and availability of spare parts to achieve 100% uptime.
  • Compliance & Reporting – Maintain records, MIS reports, and adherence to ISO & organizational standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Experience in machine maintenance, safety management, and Kaizens.
  • Hands-on expertise in installation & commissioning of industrial machines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

3. Stitching & Assembly Machines

  • Stitching / Sewing Machines (Post-bed, Flat-bed, Zig-zag, Heavy-duty)
  • Sole Attaching Machine
  • Lasting Machines (Toe lasting, Side lasting, Heel lasting)

4. Injection & Pouring Systems

  • PU Pouring Machine (Polyurethane Injection)
  • PVC/TPR Injection Moulding Machine
  • EVA Injection Moulding Machine

5. Heating, Drying & Bonding Systems

  • Hot & Cold Press Machines (for sole bonding)
  • Conveyor Systems (with heating & IR drying tunnels)
