Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and expanding the company's market presence. The BDM will work closely with senior leadership and other teams to drive growth strategies, client relations, manage key accounts, and ensure long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential clients, partners, and markets to drive new business opportunities.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Develop and execute strategies for generating new leads and qualifying business opportunities through networking, trade shows, events, and outreach.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to create effective sales strategies that align with the company's goals and target market.
- Market Research: Stay informed on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activities within the coffee industry to identify new opportunities and areas for expansion.
- Proposal & Presentation Preparation: Develop and deliver customized proposals and presentations that clearly communicate our value proposition to potential clients and partners.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and ensure contracts are closed in a timely and efficient manner while meeting company targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure successful execution of business development strategies.
- Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5 plus years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing business opportunities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive with a strong drive for success.
- Knowledge of the coffee industry and market trends.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
