Location: Bengaluru (Residential Societies – On-site Workshops)

Type: Part-time (Weekend-based)

Weekly Off: Monday & Tuesday

Reporting To: Program Director – DetoKidz

Compensation: Based on experience and demonstration performance

About DetoKidz

DetoKidz is a weekend Digital Detox & Experiential Learning Program designed to spark creativity, imagination, and learning among children aged 5–14 years. We deliver 200+ unique indoor and outdoor sessions across Art, Craft, Science, Maths, Gardening, Microgreens, Magic, and GK, encouraging kids to explore, create, and reconnect with real-world joy. All sessions are conducted within housing societies and community spaces, providing a fun, safe, and screen-free learning environment.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and energetic Art & Craft Facilitator to conduct hands-on weekend workshops for children. The facilitator should be passionate about creativity, enjoy working with young learners, and be skilled in using everyday materials to create engaging, age-appropriate craft and art projects. The ideal candidate combines creativity with classroom discipline and can explain techniques in English, Hindi, and Kannada fluently.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fun-filled Art & Craft workshops on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) for groups of 10–20 children in residential societies.

• Deliver structured activities from the DetoKidz curriculum such as paper craft, clay modeling, painting, recycled art, and theme-based DIY projects.

• Teach children how to use art materials safely — scissors, paints, glues, natural items, and basic tools.

• Design new creative activities aligned with the DetoKidz philosophy of learning through doing.

• Encourage creative expression, color sense, fine motor skills, and teamwork.

• Coordinate with Science & Maths facilitator for integrated activities (e.g., STEAM projects).

• Manage art supplies, maintain material inventory, and ensure proper cleanup after sessions.

• Capture session highlights for social media and parent updates (photos, short clips).

• Follow DetoKidz safety, ethics, and brand guidelines consistently.

• Participate in orientation, periodic training, and feedback sessions.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Graduate in Fine Arts / Visual Arts / Design / Education or related discipline

• Training: NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) / PPTT (Pre & Primary Teacher Training) certified

• Experience: 1–2 years of classroom or activity-based teaching experience (preferably art/craft for children)

• Language Skills: Fluent in English, Hindi, and Kannada (mandatory)

• Verification: Must present valid Experience Certificate and Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) during selection

• Creative Skills: Strong hands-on skills in drawing, coloring, painting, origami, clay work, DIY crafts, and recycled art

• Technical Knowledge (Preferred): Basic digital art or craft presentation skills; photography of projects

• Soft Skills: Energetic, patient, organized, and able to engage children of mixed ages

• Personal Attributes: Friendly, responsible, punctual, and professional demeanor

• Availability: Must be available Saturday–Sunday; weekly off Monday–Tuesday

• Mode of Work: On-site in designated housing societies in Bengaluru city limits

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: Based on qualifications, creative portfolio, and experience with children.

• Interview: Focus on teaching approach, creativity, and communication skills.

• Demonstration Round: Candidate must present 3–5 practical art/craft projects or models (paper craft, clay, recycled art, etc.) during demo.

• Final Selection: Based on demonstration creativity, safety awareness, and child engagement ability.
