Job Purpose:

The Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer will drive the exchanges growth engine by leading Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Member Development, and Listing functions. Acting as a key representative for the CEO in high-stakes industry and regulatory forums, the CSO/CCO will provide visionary leadership, leverage data-driven insights, and deliver ambitious revenue goals while shaping the exchanges market presence.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute the overall corporate strategy, identifying new business opportunities and driving commercial growth.
  • Lead business development and member relations to expand the ecosystem and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
  • Own the P&L for commercial departments, achieving revenue targets through new listings and product offerings.
  • Represent the MD & CEO at key industry and regulatory forums, articulating strategic positions and feedback.
  • Provide leadership to Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Listing, and Member Relations teams, including Economist.
  • Leverage market intelligence and economic analysis to inform strategy and anticipate trends.

Educational Qualification:

MBA in Marketing or Finance or equivalent postgraduate qualification

Experience:

  • 20+ years of relevant work experience
  • Preferred industry - Securities/Capital market, financial services, mutual funds or insurance companies

Skills Required:

  • Proven P&L and revenue ownership.
  • Strong grasp of economics and data-driven strategy.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and networking within Indian capital markets.
  • Outstanding public speaking, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Collaborative, down-to-earth leadership style with a strong analytical mindset.
