Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities, vendor development, and purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, the ability to build reliable vendor networks, and ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Source, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
  • Generate new vendors and expand the supplier network.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain and update vendor databases and procurement records.
  • Compare supplier offers to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, finance, and management) to align procurement with organizational needs.
  • Manage stock levels and support inventory control.
  • Support corporate sales and special projects with procurement assistance.
  • Assist in invoice preparation, order execution, and customer coordination.
  • Prepare quotations and share directly with customers when required.
  • Attend meetings with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely communication via emails and provide regular updates.
  • Collaborate with in-house teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Experience in vendor sourcing and development
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, POs, and contracts
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and supplier portals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail with excellent record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team player with cross-department coordination ability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience in procurement/purchase
  • Experience with GEM portal and supplier platforms preferred
