  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Maintain the general ledger, review journal entries, and reconcile accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles like GAAP or IFRS, assist with tax filings and audits, and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts by analyzing past performance and trends.
  • Review and improve accounting procedures, implement new systems, and develop and document accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Oversee junior accountants and bookkeepers, review their work, and provide training and guiguidance.
  • Analyze financial data to identify errors, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
