Job Title: Legal Specialist Contract & Regulatory Support (India)

Location: New Delhi, India

Department: Legal (with cross-functional coordination)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Legal Specialist to support our India and global operations with a focus on contract law, international private law, and regulatory documentation. The candidate will work closely with the Global Legal Advisor to ensure effective contract handling, documentation management, client communication and regulatory compliance, particularly in the technical regulations and other India-specific legal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and manage various legal documents including:

  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

  • Letters of Intent (LOIs)
  • India regulations related Agreements
  • Service Supplements (India-focused)
  • Data Sharing Supplements (as applicable)

  • Proposals or Quotations with Terms and Conditions

  • Client communication, contract negotiations in the interest of company.

  • Maintain and organize Indian agreement documentation and legal files.
  • Support in drafting and managing bank guarantee documentation.
  • Ensure alignment with internal legal standards and coordinate with global legal team.
  • Provide support to the global legal team with contracts.
  • Decoding legal text, risk assessment to support new regulatory service development.
  • Liaise with external counsel or partners as needed for India-specific legal matters.
  • Track deadlines, compliance requirements, contract renewals and contract execution workflows.
  • Contribute to process improvements and legal risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support other legal and compliance-related tasks as determined.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Law, preferably with a specialization in International Private Law or Contract Law
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a legal or corporate environment, with hands-on contract review/management and client communication.
  • Previous experience supporting multinational clients or working with international contracts
  • Familiarity with Indian legal and regulatory framework (especially related to commercial contracts, and government compliance)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • High attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a cross-cultural and global team environment
  • Highly organized and proactive with a solution-oriented mindset

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally, when required, for meetings, client negotiations, or regulatory support activities.
