Job Description:

Sr. Director - MEIAT Finance, in the solar energy sector typically leads all financial operations, including financial strategy, planning, project finance, risk management, and compliance. This role requires expertise in corporate finance, renewable energy project financing, and regulatory compliance. He will be instrumental in securing funding, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring long-term growth and profitability for the company. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth and sustainability goals. This includes leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. 

  • Project Finance and Funding:

Secure financing for solar energy projects through various means like debt, equity, PPAs, and leasing. Evaluate and manage investment opportunities, including CAPEX/OPEX models. 

  • Financial Operations:

Oversee all accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting functions. Ensure robust cash flow, working capital management, and cost control. 

  • Risk Management and Compliance:

Identify and assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. 

  • Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions. Present financial information to the board of directors and other stakeholders. 

  • Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performing environment. 

  • Strategic Decision Making:

Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by the executive team and board of directors. 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience:

12-15 years of experience in corporate finance, preferably within the renewable energy or power generation sector. 

  • Education:

MBA or equivalent in Finance, or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation. 

  • Technical Skills:

Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. 

  • Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage teams and engage with stakeholders. 

  • Knowledge:

Deep understanding of project finance, debt syndication, and risk management within the solar energy industry.
