  1. Scope of the role

Will be responsible for Execution of Tool Designs for Movement, Assembly & OEM Functions.

  1. Job Profile

  2. Ensure adequate Input from customers to design the Tool.

  3. Design Press Tools, Jigs/Fixtures, Cutting tools, Gauges, Productivity Improvement devices to manufacture Movement components using Creo, Solid works & Auto CAD software.
  4. Co-ordinate with Product Design, Tool Room, PED, Manufacturing shops & other functions.
  5. Ensure the quality of design output.
  6. Maintenance & up-keeping of drawings/records at Tool Engineering Archives.
  7. Validate the Tool design for Manufacturability and good Tool Life.

  8. Conduct Design Reviews.

  9. Key Deliverables

  10. Creo & Solid works 3D models & Engineering Drawings.

  11. Press Tools, Jig / Fixtures, Cutting tool, Gauge designs.
  12. Error free designs within scheduled time.
  13. Design solutions to solve shop floor issues.
  14. Tool designs for Productivity Improvement.

  15. Designs for Improved Tool life.

  16. The right person

  17. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with Post diploma in Tool design or Diploma in Tool & Die Making with 5.0 years of experience in tool design.

  18. Tool design Knowledge on Sheet metal Progressive Stamping.
  19. Press tool design knowledge on Terminals, connectors and Drawing parts.
  20. Hands on experience in Creo, Solid works and Auto CAD.
  21. Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  22. Knowledge of processes at Precision parts manufacturing and Tool room would be an added advantage.
  23. Knowledge of Engineering Materials.
  24. Exposure in trouble shooting.
  25. Self motivated with Good inter-personnel skills.
  26. Urge to update knowledge on the latest soft wares & technologies available.
