Were Hiring Engineer (Tooling Assembly)

Position Title: Engineer – Tooling (Assembly)

Location: Narasapura Industrial Area , bangalore, karnataka

Reporting To: Manager – Tooling

Responsibilities

  1. Design & development of tooling – jigs and fixtures for aero-structure assemblies.
  2. Tool design using CATIA-V5 for detail parts and assemblies.
  3. Knowledge of machines & processes used in sheet metal aerospace industry.
  4. Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerances of sheet metal components.
  5. Drive process improvements and continual improvement initiatives.
  6. Participate in CFT discussions for process mapping, tool validation.
  7. Support new product development.
  8. Problem-solving related to tooling and assembly.
  9. Manage new jig try-outs, validation, and tool assembly.
  10. Coordinate with internal departments during project execution.
  11. Compile and analyze data, prepare tool lists, tool drawings, etc.
  12. Prepare System Process Flow Charts (SPFC) in line with AS9100 requirements.

Knowledge & Critical Skills Required

  • Assembly processes
  • ProE Wildfire 4.0, AutoCAD, and CATIA V5R16
  • Tooling requirements of aerospace OEMs
  • Strong knowledge of tooling processes
  • Familiarity with AS9000 standards & aerospace approvals

Desired Qualification & Experience

  • Education: DME / B.E. (Mechanical / Aeronautical / Aerospace)
  • Experience: 4–6 years in Aerospace / Manufacturing industry

Work Highlights

  • Working Days: Monday – Saturday (1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays are off)
  • Timings: 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM (General Shift)
  • Transportation provided from: Hebbal, Kolar, Byappanahalli, Whitefield, Hoskote
  • Interview Mode: Face-to-Face
